Park In-ho graduated from the Department of Photography and Video at Kyungil University and completed his master's degree in photography at Hongik University Graduate School. His work centers on exploring the conditions of contemporary society and the issues faced by his generation, using photography as a critical medium.

Park In-ho's work is not confined to a specific genre but encompasses figures, architecture, and landscapes. Series such as Living in Seoul, which deals with migrant workers in Seoul; The Lost Land, which documents returned U.S. military bases; Final Semester, centered on closed universities; and Suspended City, which removes windows from places where large-scale development has been halted, share a continuous interest in people, places, and objects while dealing with different subjects. In his work, his photographs transcend genre boundaries to reveal the social realities and historical traces inherent in space.

His work consistently directs its focus toward places and objects that have been marginalized or forgotten in Korean society. Spaces where migrant labor takes place, returned military bases, and abandoned development sites are places that were once emphasized but have gradually been erased from collective memory. By re-presenting these scenes, Park In-ho’s photography functions as a device to reveal the layers of social memory and oblivion. Ruined military facilities and neglected urban spaces appear not merely as sites of decay, but as visual remnants shaped by the Cold War, division, and developmental ideologies. Through a restrained yet powerful aesthetic, he transforms these historical traces into quiet and contemplative images. His portrait photography operates within the same context. In Living in Seoul, migrant workers are depicted as beings possessing both fatigue and dignity, bringing to light lives that are easily overlooked. This approach connects his gaze toward people and places, forming a structure in which space and humans mutually bear witness to the rifts of contemporary society.

Ultimately, Park In-ho's work shifts the focus from what is recorded to how it is viewed. His sustained attention to abandoned, forgotten, and marginalized objects demonstrates that photography can still function as a critical and reflective language within contemporary visual culture.
